National SPA CPDLive online events – participation is easy...

Participating in a live national SPA CPDLive online event or viewing the recorded online event is easy! All you need is the internet and audio on your PC/laptop/device. No videoconferencing, teleconferencing, video or DVD viewing equipment is required. SPA CPDLive online events offer you flexibility in where and when you participate. You can be anywhere that is convenient for you. This may be at work, home or somewhere else. If you are viewing the recording of the live event you can do that at any time of the day or night that suits your schedule.

In either situation (live event or recording) you are provided with the supporting materials for the event such as the handouts with the PowerPoint presentation and the references. Participants in the live online event have the opportunity to engage with the presenter and other attendees. You can ask questions via a typed chat facility and take part in other activities the presenter includes, such as polls. How to do this is explained at the beginning of the event. Support is available throughout should you encounter any difficulties during the event.

Each national SPA CPDLive online event is 90 minutes. All registrations are at Earlybird rates. For events still to be held live you can register to either participate in the event live online or to view the recording after the event. Once the event has been held you can only register to view the recording which is available for twelve months after the event. See, participation in SPA CPDLive online events is easy. Give it a go!

Let’s hear from members who have registered and participated in the CPDLive event presented by Dr Patricia Eadie...

Sharon, who participated in the live event When I first registered I was a little anxious that I would not know how to make it all work, as I am not the most confident person with IT, especially with something new. But it was so easy! The information sent to me was clear and direct. I was thrilled to have access to such high quality professional development right at my desk. This

form of learning saved me time and money yet still allowed for interaction with the presenter and the participants through the chat box. I asked several questions and Tricia responded promptly. There was technical support throughout for all of us and again this was easy to access. I would thoroughly recommend participation in a live national SPA CPDLive online event.

Emma, who viewed the recording I recently viewed the recording of the CPDLive event on Language Development by Patricia Eadie. It was my first CPDLive experience and I was pleased with how easy it was to set up and watch. As a mum to two young children and working part time, accessing CPD workshops can be difficult to coordinate. CPDLive was a good alternative for me right now. Once the kids were in bed I grabbed a cup of tea, my laptop and the workshop notes and settled in to watch it. While the recorded format meant I wasn’t able to ask the presenter any questions, I really liked that I could rewind sections that I’d missed or pause it to write notes. I found that 90 minutes was an achievable length for one sitting. I would access PD this way again.
