have been received from members on the NDIS page of the SPA website. It is important to note the timelines and transition arrangement for your state or territory. For instance, members in Victoria who are registered, or working for a registered provider (including registered residential aged care facilities) must be checked by 1 August 2021, unless they have a working with children check that was current as at 1 February 2021. Members in the Northern Territory are not subject to the NDIS worker screening process until the Northern Territory transitions to this process on 1 July 2021.
What is the difference between a Level 1 and a Level 2 AHA under NDIS, do they have particular qualifications? As per the current price guide, the only difference between a Level 1 and Level 2 AHA is whether the allied health professional overseeing the AHA is also present for the session/support. If the Allied health professional is also present, then the AHA would be considered to be Level 1. There are no designation qualifications for AHAs under the NDIS at this time.
