Learning Hub launched! The Learning Hub was officially launched in May. Members enthusiastically engaged with the new platform with over 630 programs accessed during the first week, the most popular of which were our new Telepractice and COVID-19 webisodes. The Learning Hub features a range of live and taped online courses, communities of practice programs, the Speak Up podcast, Queensland Legacy Fund webinars and webisodes. Be sure to visit the Hub regularly as we upload new programs weekly. Introducing our new Communities of Practice program We are pleased to announce our new Communities of Practice program. Join an ongoing social learning group where you will participate in discussions, share case studies, and support problem solving for a deeper understanding in your field of practice. You will meet with your Community of Practice Leader for one hour either fortnightly for three months or monthly for six months. New to TAPED Online Teatime Talk with Dr Kim Turner Dr Kim Turner chats with SPA’s Mary Woodward about her career in youth and adult justice, and forensic mental health in the UK. SPA x Lifeline: Accidental Counsellor (Plus) This program equips individuals to recognise and respond to crisis with confidence, identify suitable services for referral, participate in self-care, and recognise and respond to vicarious trauma. Working with trans and gender diverse young people and adults In this recorded panel presentation, Professor Jenni Oates, Dr Georgia Dacakis, Ms Alex Giannini, Ms Emma Ball and Sterling Quinn answer audience questions about working with trans and gender diverse people. Did you know… SPA’s new learning management system is linked to the Association’s member database. This means that your membership record is automatically updated whenever you complete a Learning Hub activity. There is no need to retain certificates of attendance if you participate in SPA courses, it’s all done for you! Visit the Learning Hub via the Professional Education tab on the SPA website or below for direct access. Keep checking back as we are regularly adding new courses
