Early Career REFERENCE GROUP
ECRG "kicks off" for 2020
The Association welcomes the 2020 Early Career Reference Group (ECRG), which recently commenced its activities. The ECRG supports the Association in identifying and addressing issues pertinent to new graduates and early career members. This year’s cohort is the largest to date with 15 members and is well-positioned to undertake a variety of projects. ECRG members represent states and territories around Australia, as well as major cities and regional or remote areas, different sectors, and a range of practice areas.
The ECRG has identified four key issues to focus on this year, which include: Ethical practice, work-life balance, working in rural/remote settings, and assertive communication/challenging conversations. Each of these key issues will involve a variety of themes to be explored by working groups within the ECRG. Early career speech pathologists are invited to join the Early Career Online Member Community and share their thoughts on topics related to key issues or where additional resources and support are needed.
The 2020 ECRG members are: • Sheridan Bartlett • Tayla Brown • Josephine Deng
• Nicole Dunn • Alice Forbes • Alana Hutchison • Star Kost • Courtney Lindeman • Danielle McGettigan • Luke Mitchell • Dylan Mraz • Cara Probert • Adriana Psaltis • Grace Schofield • Alyssa Sullivan
