OBJECTIVES The Company’s short term objectives are outlined within the Association’s 2023–2025. Strategic Plan: • advocate for equitable, timely, and inclusive access to speech pathology services; • grow a diverse, skilled, and sustainable speech pathology workforce; • build a safe, engaged and connected professional community; • drive member value and sustainability; and • nurture a high performing organisation. These objectives are enabled by: • modern governance structures delivered by a dynamic and cohesive leadership team; • innovation driving change and continuous improvement; • an inclusive organisational culture, that prioritises our people; • advancing the Speech Pathology Australia brand; and • ensuring robust financial management, data-driven decision making and organisational sustainability. In delivering on these objectives, Speech Pathology Australia provides: • advocacy on behalf of the profession, in articulated priority areas, including workforce, NDIS, Medicare and regulation; • accessible and affordable continuing professional development opportunities; • professional support and timely access to up-to-date information and resources; • regulatory functions that ensure the profession practices in a safe, culturally sensitive, and high-quality manner; and • opportunities for the profession to engage with each other, colleagues and community.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES The Speech Pathology Association of Australia Ltd is the national peak body for the speech pathology profession in Australia representing more than 15,000 members. The principal activities of the Company were: • to empower speech pathologists • advocate to strengthen access to speech pathology services for all Australians • to ensure speech pathologists are suitably trained, qualified and safe to practise • to support and promote the speech pathology profession. There have been no significant changes in the nature of activities during the year.
