Innovative thinking for 2017 National Conference 28 – 31 May 2017 International Convention Centre Sydney

In 2017 the Conference Planning Committee want the world to see that Speech Pathology Australia is W orking and i nvesting in F uture i nnovations! WiFi represents more than just a signal that connects us to the digital world. It represents hard work, innovation and investment in the future! In 2017 you are being asked to think big, be creative, share your innovations and investments, showcase your work, and connect with colleagues to build a brighter future. The 2017 Conference Planning Committee (CPC) warmly invites you with the image of one of our most famous icons—the Sydney Harbour Bridge. To us the ‘bridge’ represents a link: • Between past, present and future • Across barriers of distance and communication breakdown The CPC is thrilled to welcome you to Sydney’s newest conference facility! The International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) will be a beacon of innovation, learning and entertainment, connecting and celebrating leaders of invention, business, governance and the arts. How fitting that the first contracted conference to be held in the Centre will be Speech Pathology Australia National Conference 2017! In this issue of Speak Out, you will find the invitation and Call for Papers. We encourage you to “spread the news” through your many networks, colleagues and friends, wherever they are in the world. Provide them with a link to the Association’s website www. speechpathologyaustralia.org.au , where they can read more about the National Conference 2017 and submission process. • Between evidence and its translation into practice • Across communities, the country and nations • Between clients and care providers

We have also included on the Association’s website, instructions and guidelines for making submissions, which will assist you prior to the actual submission process. Remember that delegates will only have access to the title of the paper and author(s) name when they register and select sessions they wish to attend, so please carefully think about your presentation title. This will help ensure the audience you wish to attract and those who have the greatest interest in your topic will attend.
