Thank you to everyone who contributed to the fun of Speech Pathology Week in Tasmania!

There were many activities organised throughout the state for Speech Pathology Week. As always our largest event was the stand at the Salamanca Markets, though sadly our audience was depleted with the impact that COVID-19 has had on the markets themselves. A series of articles was published in the Mercury (a Southern Tasmanian newspaper) in August covering: • The demand for SLP services in the state and the shortage of SLPs (Rosalie Martin made comments in that article).

Tassie members needed for 2023 conference Speech Pathology Australia is now calling for expressions

Expressions of interest should include a covering letter stating relevant experience and a curriculum vitae to support the application. The application should be submitted to Stephanie Gershon, National Conference Coordinator via email conference@speechpathologyaustralia.org.au. Applications close Wednesday 20 October 2021 .

of interest from Tasmanian members for the position of 2023 Conference Convenor and five members for the Conference Planning Committee. The National Conference will be held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart from Sunday 21 to Wednesday 24 May 2023 inclusive.
