Thank you from the QLD Advocacy Portfolio The QLD Advocacy Portfolio would like to thank Claire Zhang very much for all her contributions as former portfolio co-leader. During her time as advocacy portfolio co-leader, Claire provided invaluable leadership for the QLD advocacy working groups and was instrumental in creating various SPA resources with National Office. We are sad to see Claire leave her co-lead position but wish her the very best of luck for her future endeavours overseas. Thank you so much Shaun Ziegenfusz for stepping in as QLD advocacy co-lead. Welcome to Shaun! Thanks also go to the GP Education Kit working group, including Sally Zingelman, Shaun Ziegenfusz, Julia Stokes and Melissa Nicholls, for updating the SPA GP Education Kit. The working group members’ updated presentation now includes the PowerPoint presentations (with or without voiceover), as well as video presentations for GP engagement. More information about the updated GP Education Kit can be found on the previous page. Thank you so much to all the working group members for all your hard work and dedication! Private practice regional and remote Zoom meeting Goodbye teleconferencing, hello videoconferencing! The Regional and Remote Private Practice group trialled a zoom meeting in October with great success. We all really enjoyed seeing each other and didn’t have any technology hiccups. It was great to meet with Nichola Harris and learn about what is happening in Head Office and the updates and support for private practice on the SPA webpage. We learned too that many regions are setting up their own Facebook pages to connect with local therapists. We thought we would have a break over Christmas, so the next meeting is on Tuesday 20 February 2020 at 6.30pm (Qld time). Look out in the Branch News for further information or join the Queensland Branch Facebook page. Bronwyn Sutton and Sue Park
