Invitation & call for papers

Call for papers For 2021 we have selected a new image to accompany the conference logo. This painting (above) by Betty Conway reflects the local context as in the logo by-line as well as a favourite past time of Territorians (swimming in local swimming holes). The image is of Tempe Downs, a swathe of land South West of Alice Springs which was purchased on behalf of traditional owners in 1993 and is an important land acquisition in the region. The online submission is available at www.speechpathologyaustralia.org.au/spaconf2021. We would encourage you to "spread the news" through your many networks, colleagues and friends. Send them the link to the conference website where they can read more about the conference and submission process. On the conference website you will find instructions for making submissions, to give you assistance with the submission process. There is also a checklist to ensure that you are prepared to finalise the submission. There is a two- step process at the start for the online submission where you select the option of 1) an oral or poster presentation, or

2) a workshop presentation. We request that you read the relevant instruction that applies to you, prior to submitting your abstract. In your submission we ask you to consider your work, as it relates to theme Local Contexts, Global Practice and the aspirations outlined in Speech Pathology Australia 2030: • communication accessible communities • access for all • timely services across the lifespan • clients and communities driving service delivery • skilled and confident families and carers • collaborative professional partnerships • quality services, innovation and continual pursuit of knowledge • diverse and dynamic workforce.
