Discipline specific supervision

If you are currently employed as a speech pathologist and your employer does not provide you with regular discipline specific supervision, SPA has a number of documents you can take to your employer to demonstrate the need for supervision. These documents include: • Position statement: The role and value of professional support, which outlines the difference between supervision and mentoring and recommends frequencies for each, • Supervision Standards, • Supervision FAQs. Speech Pathology Australia keeps a list of members who offer paid external supervision.
