NDIS Resources on the SPA website The NDIS webpage on the SPA website has been updated. Any news or updates about all matters NDIS will be available to members on this section of the website. This page will include a range of FAQ documents, details of relevant webinars and links to new information and external webpages. See www.speechpathologyaustralia.org.au/ NDIS Policy and Procedure Manual Two new policies have been added to SPA’s Policy and Procedure Manual. These include: • food preparation and handling, • use of mobile phones. You can copy these policies for use in your practice or adapt to suit your own needs. NSW Private Practice Seminar Many thanks to the 60 speech pathologists who attended the ACT/NSW Private Practice seminar on Friday 9 February. It was a wonderful opportunity for speech pathologists who own and run their own practice (or those thinking of starting practice) to meet for a full day and listen to speakers talk about a diverse array of issues. It was also a great opportunity for me to meet so many members and get some feedback about how SPA can help you! Common issues discussed included: • Solutions for managing the employment and HR issues in your practice • Systems and strategies to plan, grow and transform your business • NDIS: answers to commonly asked questions • Practice management software • Updates from National Office Thanks to members of the NSW/ACT Private Practice Network for all their help and support.
