Standard Method and Considerations (+ Hand Hygiene and Required PPE) • Use disposable microfibre cleaning cloths or, wash or change micro-fibre cloths daily and avoid reusing cloths across multiple surfaces • Use alcohol-based wipe or disinfectant after routine cleaning if there are known or potential contaminants • Apply disinfectant using a disposable paper towel or a disposable cloth. If non-disposable cloths are used, ensure they are laundered and dried before reusing • Removable fabric items (e.g. chair covers) should be washed and laundered per the manufacturer’s instructions. Use the warmest appropriate water setting and allow to dry completely • Fabric covered items that cannot withstand bleach or other disinfectants should be cleaned with warm water and detergent then steam cleaned.
