Dr Ron Gillam has an impressive and growing body of research including a current RCT to test the outcomes of a narrative program (SKILL) being investigated with Dr Sandra (Sandi) Gillam . Ron is proactive in bridging research and practice, and has taken the science and practice of speech pathology into new and immensely beneficial directions making him a most fitting speaker for this conference.

Professor Marion Kickett will highlight the focus on engagement and brings knowledge and perspectives from beyond speech pathology to inform and guide our work. Professor Elizabeth (Liz) Ward, 2018 Elizabeth Usher Memorial Lecture recipient , will connect to practice innovation and draw on insights gained within the public health service in Queensland.
